Mindi Abair to release Best of Mindi Abair on CD April 2; new single "April" has a rustic feel

Twenty one years in the game and saxophonist Mindi Abair is showing no signs of letting up on delivering some of the best music around.

As a follow up to her single “Forever”, Mindi’s new release is called “April”. “April” is a mild tempered, acoustic-laden bluesy track with a rustic feel. Mindi employed a few top notch musicians to appear on this single including Abe Laboriel Jr on drums, Sean Hurley on bass, Tim Pierce on guitar and Rodney Lee on keys.

“April” will appear on Mindi’s new upcoming CD Best of Mindi Abair, which coincidentally is scheduled for an April 2nd release.

Clocking 19 tracks in total, Mindi’s new compilation will feature some of her big hits. This will include “Lucy’s” from 2002 to the blues recordings she did with The Boneshakers, unreleased gems and a few of her personal favourites.

The new CD will serve as a collector’s item for true Mindi fans as it will feature a 16 page booklet of personal liner notes written by Mindi. The booklet will also include 28 photos that capture Mindi’s career.
